Beth Nixon

Ms. Beth Nixon is a photographer, writer, and international media professional based in Connecticut. She previously worked as a producer and field producer for several leading news outlets, including MainStreet Media, the MacNeil-Lehrer NewsHour in Chicago, and Looking East and One World in New York, and has lived and worked across Asia, Europe, and Australia.

Ms. Nixon has been actively involved with WINGS Women of Discovery, serving as Board Chair from 2018 to 2022 and currently co-chairing the Awards and Programs Committee. She serves on several other boards in Connecticut.

Ms. Nixon holds a BA from Princeton University, an MA from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, and a Certificate in Chinese Language and Literature from Peking University (PKU). She is currently an MFA candidate in Photography at Maine Media. Ms. Nixon joined the Centre for Wildlife Studies Board in 2026.
